About

Quote by Carl Sagan

I am a book addict.

There, I said it. I’ve practically devoured books all my life but have somehow still not managed to get anywhere near to completing my ‘to read list’. It’s a vicious circle – you read one, you want to read another five.

During the day, I work in music publishing. Now don’t get too excited, I DON’T work in music. I work with the notes (sheet music), which I think is pretty awesome. I make apps and eBooks and, sometimes, I even get to go to the concerts of some of the composers.

Right. That didn’t sound geeky at all.

During my spare time, I rearrange my book shelves, take photos of books, talk about books, read books, listen to books, watch films made from books, and listen to podcasts about books.

I think it’s safe to say that I have a…slight…problem.

So, instead of talking everyone’s ear off about books, regardless of whether they want to hear it or not, I’ve decided to put my thoughts to digital ink. This is how A Literary Mind was born.

It is an area where I will allow my addiction to ‘run free’. A little nook of a space where I’ll add my thoughts of the constant debate about books: the good, the bad, the beautiful.
